The SC 250 and SC 250 Satin are revampings of PRS's 25" scale Singlecut with hotter treble pickups and adjustable stoptail bridges that make these guitars just right for the heavier string gauges and down-tuning used in a lot of modern rock.

For 2007, PRS has updated the Singlecut model which is now offered as two unique models, the SC 250 and the SC 245. The new SC 250 comes with 250 Pickups, a thick headstock, adjustable PRS Stoptail, Phase II locking mini tuners, comes set up with .010 gauge strings and has an optional satin finish. These changes provide for thicker sound, power and more sustain for players looking for a more modern “rock” sound.
Like the Modern Eagle, the Singlecut Trem Modern Eagle features an ultra-thin satin nitrocellulose finish allowing the wood to breathe and resonate to create its unique sound. This instrument incorporates most of the features that Paul Reed Smith is using on his personal guitars.
The Modern Eagle incorporates many aspects of our prestigious Private Stock instruments and specifications that PRS has been developing for years. These include a classy, ultra-thin nitrocellulose finish, Modern Eagle RP pickups, an anodized stoptail bridge, brass studs, mixed hardware, Brazilian rosewood neck and fingerboard, rippled abalone bird inlays and unique, highly figured maple tops.
