Die PRS Santana SE hat einen Korpus aus Mahagoni, der sehr gute Schwingungseigenschaften mitbringt. Resultat ist (mit den richtigen Saiten) ein suuuuperlanges Sustain beim Spiel. Diese Gitarre klingt schon ohne Verstärkung richtig gut und voll. Die eingebauten PRS-Humbucker machen richtig Druck - und bringen sowohl filigranes Spiel, als auch den Metal-Hammer richtig gut rüber.Das Tremolo ist sehr stimmstabil.

For 2007, PRS has updated the Singlecut model which is now offered as two unique models, the SC 250 and the SC 245. The new SC 250 comes with 250 Pickups, a thick headstock, adjustable PRS Stoptail, Phase II locking mini tuners, comes set up with .010 gauge strings and has an optional satin finish. These changes provide for thicker sound, power and more sustain for players looking for a more modern “rock” sound.
