The CARBO-RODS is an effect stick. You can get a brush type effect. You can get a sound that is between a brush and a drumstick. One may strike the CARBO-RODS on the rim wrapped portion of the CARBO-RODS to obtain yet another unique sound. If you strike the CARBO-RODS on the gap (“sweet-spot”) between the upper portion of the handle and the lower region of the rim wrapped gaffers tape, you can get a loud “pop” sound that is unique as well.
