The main purpose which led to the creation of the CityColour, has been the idea of creating light shades on the external walls of the buildings. What is more, its indoor use for places like theatres or stages is also highly appreciated. The Citycolour (patent pending) is a square projection flood light, using a powerful 1800W lamp and combines a CMY, colourchanger with dichroic filters. Ever since, this is the only flood light in the market using dichroic filters instead of the traditional coloured gels. When used outdoor, one fixture (at the distance of 10 m.) can cover a surface of 15 x 10 m, which makes it very useful in many occasions such as: commercial buildings (shopping centres, supermarkets, car dealers, discos, theme parks, hotels, historical buildings, bridges, castles, ski lanes etc.). The only one condition for its best chromatic performance is the projection onto preferably white or light coloured walls.When in use, its sequence of colours, which goes from pastel shades to bright colours, creates a chromatic atmosphere around the building by putting it in evidence and giving it an elegant or glamorous look. By using the already stored programs (the use of a controller is not necessary), one can obtain shades of two or more colours by passing, quickly or slowly, through all the intermediate nuances. When using more than one fixtures, a simple connection will make them work in synchronisation. The fixture does not need any maintenance but the replacement of the lamps any 2.500 hours (for the discharge version) or 300 hours (for the halogen version). As already said, the Citycolour can be also used to light indoor or stages and theatres; in this case it can be driven by DMX with 6 channels.
