These Traps toms have a thickness, tone and clarity to their sound which has never been found before in a portable set. This is due not only to the design and meticulous construction of their ABS shells, but also to the rigidity of their triple-flange counter-hoops and not least to the resilience of the quality Remo Pinstripe heads fitted. The fact that the drums have these traditional steel counter-hoops allows for use of the Industry standard and universally accepted, traditional multi-screw tuning system as well as the fitting of pads for silent practice to all the drums. Something not possible with portable sets around this price point before.
Since these drums have traditional hoops then you can also take advantage of practice pads - like these pads which means that you can safely practice in absolute silence - perfect for low noise environments (you can even practice at night when Mum & Dad have gone to bed!).
The A400 10" tom is manufactured from a tough ABS bespoke moulding which is further strengthened by a triple flange counter hoop, then to complete the tom it is fitted with a top quality Remo Pinstripe head. As with all the A400 drums an industry standard multi screw tuning system is used.
All this attention to detail results in an unsuppassed sound never before heard in a portable kit.
