The Shells
Export Select Series shells feature 6-ply, 7.5mm Poplar construction with a 30 step Super High Gloss Lacquer process on the outside ply. These shells are pressure formed using Pearl's exclusive Heat/compression Molding System, the same process that is used in all series of Pearl drums. Scarf joints, special adhesive, and Pearl's patented molding process produce incredibly strong and gapless shells for superior tone and resonance. Split suspension lugs standard on all tom-toms and bass drums minimize shell contact and the I.S.S. mounting system on all toms provide maximum resonance and sustain.

PowerPro Hardware
Heavy duty PowerPro hardware is included with every Export Select Series drumset. S800W snare stand, C-800W cymbal stand, BC-800W boom stand, H-820W hi-hat stand, and a P120P single chain, round cam chain drive pedal that features a heavy DuoBeat beater and Power Plate, are the included pieces in every ELX set. All PowerPro stands feature double braced legs for stability and durability. Additionaly, this kit includes 2 TH-88I tom arms, a TH-88S tom arm and an AX-20 clamp.

I.S.S.
The Integrated Suspension System...ISS...permits the shell to vibrate freely for maximum sustain and resonance. The I.S.S. removes easily for quick drum head changes.
