The K4 is a 2-way High/Mid speaker cabinet in the standard version designed for active using. On a special customer request the K4 is also available as a 2-way passiv cabinet.

The single 12" fiberglas midrange horn is loaded by a 12" high quality Precision Devices speaker. The 2" high frequency driver works into a big 2" fiberglas horn. The K4 has a very high maximum sound pressure at 1m by 132dB! The directivity of the the midrange and highrange fiberglas horns is horizontal 60° and vertical 40°. The cabinet corners at the reverse side has at the left and right side an angle of 30°. This 30° angle allows an optimal horizontal clustering of two K4 speaker cabinets, you can get a wide homogeneous horizontal directivity of 120°.

The K4 has 6 Flying points. This flying points are placed in a wise which allows to fly the K4 with the high frequency horn downwards. This gives the possibility to fly two K4 in a veritical array with high frequency horn by high frequency horn with a very close distance between the two high frequency drivers.This minimizes the wave interference between the two high frequency acoustic sources.
PSE recomends as bass cabinets minimum two B81 or one SB82 per K4 cabinet.
