The FT-System is a pure cluster system with very compact dimensions of 50cm/50cm/60cm (W/H/D). There are two different cabinet types in the FT-System. One is the High/Mid cabinet FT1 and the other one is the Low/Mid cabinet FB51. Both cabinets are hornloaded. The directivity of the High/Mid unit FT1 is horizontal 40° and vertical 20°. By the development of the FT1 it was very important to get a small packing between the high frequency compression driver and the 12"-Precision Devices mid range driver. This minimizes the wave interference between the two acoustic sources in the crossover region.

The PSE conical phaseplug technology is specially developed for the FT1. This phaseplug technology provides a higher sound pressure and makes also a phase correction of the 12" speaker. Backwards works the 12" midrange speaker into a defined compression area. The 1.5" high frequency compression driver works into a big horn. The high frequency horn and the mid range horn are one fiberglas unit.

The Low/Mid unit FB51 has exactly the same dimensions as the FT1 cabinet. The hornloaded FB51 is equipped with a high power Precision Devices speaker. This 15" driver works backwards into a closed compression area with a defined Volume V1, forward works the 15" driver in a further defined Volume V2. There is a stub horn coupled to the Volume V2. The Volume V1 and V2 works as a acoustic resonating circuit and the 15" speaker is the generator for it. This construction does not provide very low sub frequenties but a clear, dynamic and powerful sound by 70Hz and higher.
